About Us

Business Process Reengineering: CIBER, Inc. and Georgia Department of Human Resources

The Office of Information Technology for the State of Georgia Department of Human Resources sought to optimize the performance of the organization’s projects. For DHR to effectively meet the FY 2003 strategic goals, objectives, and strategies, they needed assistance in developing and implementing improved project management processes.
Analysis was conducted for critical focus areas within the department, including Applications Development, Production, Quality Assurance, Help Desk, Vendor Management, and Customer Service. The current state was compared to the desired state as the basis for determining appropriate steps for improvement. The result was a roadmap for implementing specific areas of improvement.

Jan Dillard facilitated several critical sessions where the challenges of the current environment were clearly exposed. Her ability to lead individual participants to positive results kept the groups focused on acquiring the desired state.

Jan is particularly good at getting at root causes of problems and allowing participants to find their own solutions. That approach enables the solution to work more effectively in the client culture.
